Can You Even Call This a Blog?!

Hey Guys-Sarah Talkin'! I would just give up on this blog if i were you......i don't think my mom will ever post anything! I just couldn't manage to think that this blog wasn't posted on for over a month, so i had to step in. I know, i know, you would too! Well, i guess i will give a summarized update of the past month for her....let's just call it a early birthday present!
We have been really busy for the past few weeks because our relatives have been staying at our house! Uncle Gavin and Auntie Shawna have two adorable little boys, Christian and Shane, that keep us on our toes! We are having a LOT of fun with them and are sad that they will be moving into their new house this weekend...(they just moved here from texas)
Other than relatives, we have been involved with many baseball pot lucks, fathers day, girls camp, disneyland, and have visited the beach a few times! It has been an awesome summer so far, if my mom thinks so or not! =] Here are a few pictures from randoms of the month! ENJOY!

Disneyland was fun! I got to bring a few friends with me as our end-of-the-year trip! The one our school was doing was dumb, so we just went to disneyland! COOL!
Carter's baseball season is now over, but he is now playing in all stars! He is doing pretty good!
this is a picture from girls camp! it was sooooo fun! We went to the colorado river!
Hope every one gives up on this blog!
Luv Ya~Sarah

Mothers Day Morning

No I didn't wake up to the beautiful breakfast in this picture!  First - I am a really lite sleeper... and wake up to any sound.  So I wake up because I hear "something" and open my eyes to see a paper plate set on my tummy!  It had 2 pieces of wheat bread cut in half on it! :)  Then I hear the little mouse run back in to my room and put a sour patch kid on the plate to go along with the bread!  YUM!!!  I couldn't let my cute Chloe down... so I had to eat my plain bread - it was so cute - she was the first one up and wanted to make my mother's day special!  Her thoughtfulness (all on her own) touched my heart and started my day off great!

Next - I got to stay in bed while the fam was busy making my REAL breakfast! :)  I'm really not one to stay in bed - but I loved laying there listening to all they were doing... :)

Display is everything.... Sarah did a great job arranging the food and setting my spot!  Carter cut the flowers... It looked SOOOOO Yummy - I didn't want to mess it up! :)
Fresh squeezed orange juice... homemade hashbrowns.... fresh cut flowers

Well - I had a great start to my mothers day... I love my family... they are what I live for!

Sarah is the Bomb!

Hey guys- my mom is a total quitter! She said that she doesn't like to blog anymore because i always write about the stuff we do! I really don't write about every little thing we do.... so she should be able to make at least 4 posts a month- no sweat! If you think she should get back into blogging you should leave some strongly worded comments on this thing! Maybe that will slap her back into shape!

One thing i know she would have said on this post is " Sarah is the coolest person in the world! She is awesome and totally amazing! No one is as cool as her!" =D
Well, maybe not.... but you get the point.

I guess this post will be my mothers day present to her..... i don't exactly have a real present. =D (guilty)

We have to get this lady back into the blogging world!!! Who's with me!?

Kids are amazing...

Carter is so talented - can you tell??  He can actually take one eye at a time and move it left and right - it is actually pretty creepy!  But I am just so proud anyways... what mother wouldn't be?? He can even make his eyebrows crawl like a caterpillar - AND make his ears wiggle!!!  Now THAT is talent!!!

OK - so Julie Stainbrook took about 300 pictures of the kids - and being the loving mother that I am I can't decide which pictures to print for my wall!!  I  LOVE them ALL!!!  Seriously - but here are a few - I also sent an email out that connects to Julie's blog - she has a bunch on there that are super cute - as well as some other pictures of weddings and families that are just awesome - check it out.. I have her link on my blog too!

FINALLY!!!!

OK - Sarah has been giving me a hard time about not blogging enough....I tell her she is a blog-a-holic!!!  I'm lucky if I get 2 posts a month because I am just too busy!!!  Well - here is a picture from the yearbook that consumed my life for the past month!  It really was fun to create - but a lot of pressure!  I knew all year that there was a possibility that I would have to do the yearbook because the girl who was in charge of it this year was having health issues.  Sure enough - I found out in Jan that I would have to do the yearbook again this year!  But I really was happy to do it...so I thought I would post a page from the book - this page is the cover contest page and my kids both are represented on it!  Carter won the front cover contest and Chloe has her beautiful work displayed as a finalist!!

Sorry I've checked out for awhile.... it was for a good cause though!!! :)

Oh - is was a PIRATE theme this year - and it was super cute!

PIRATE Sarah Puzzle... Scavenger Hunt

I had this puzzle made for the scavenger hunt.  The girls had clues that led them to 6 different places with bags full of puzzle pieces - when the had them all they had to assemble the puzzle... first team done won!  I thought it was pretty cute!

Wizard Sarah Puzzle

This was the puzzle that the WIZARDS had to find in the scavenger hunt and then put together.... I sent this picture to SAMS club and had them make a puzzle for me... it was super cute!

13 Girls came for a 13th Birthday Party!!

You would think a girl party would be so proper and civilized....

But check out these crazy girls having a goop fight... which I didn't plan.  They had to pick stuff out of the goop - and then it turned into this!!!
Now my world is over as I know it.... I have a teenager!!!  We had to celebrate this momentous occasion with a CRAZY party, of course!  Check out Sarah's blog for the details of the fun games we played.... she takes all my ideas for blogs and puts them on her blog first!!  In reality... my life is completely revolved around my kids.... so our blogs really would have the same stuff!  The party really was fun... and having Sarah's friends over was great!  It is such a relief to really enjoy and like her friends.... I like to tease them that they are my friends because I really do have fun with them.
The cutest part of the planning was the scavenger hunt that ended with the teams needing to put together a puzzle that ended up being Sarah as a wizard and pirate!  She didn't know about this and I created the funniest picture of her with my digital scrapbooking program!  So funny... and she liked the surprise.
Well - I am glad to have last week behind me... I also got to video the Miss Pride of Vista contest the same day as the party and I feel like I am recovering still!  I am getting a different sort of appreciation for pageants... I tended to stereotype the girls that would do pageants before... but realize now there are some valuable lessons they can learn in preparing for the pageant.  I still feel it comes down to looks and I feel sorry for the losers... :(

Daddy Daughter Dance

Notice Marks Tie - he looks like he is really getting jiggy with it!!! :)

Mark got to take Chloe on her first DATE!!!  With Daddy!! It was soooo cute - they had so much fun and I loved seeing her have such a good time with her daddy!  I was at the dance the whole night (and before helping set up)  taking pictures (the posed kind you get at dances) and never got to even take a bathroom break - so I never got the chance to take pictures of them - luckily a friend got these!

Disneyland!

My mom told me i had to post something on her blog. "Too Busy" to do it herself. :) We just went to Disney land on Friday the 13th! I was so scared that i would die on a ride or something. It was raining all day, how unlucky. We didn't bring Chloe with us, because we knew she would not cooperate in the rain. It was super fun. Here are a couple pictures from our day. - Sarah:)

       Us on Space Mountain!

Us getting off of Splash Mountain while it was raining! Dad, of course, is on his phone!

SMILE!

Yes - This is what my kids do when I say 'SMILE' - think they had a little too much sugar!! :)  We were at the ice cream parlor at Disneyland!!

Carter's Birthday - the BIG 10 - double digits!

I can't believe my little boy is getting so old... he was the cutest baby - with the cutest dimples.... and now when I look at him he is like a little man.  He had the "COOLEST" birthday party EVER! Mark took Carter and a few of his friends in the MOTORHOME down to the SUPERCROSS!!  They got to go in the pits and meet some of the riders and check out the bikes.  They partied in the parking lot - sloppy joes, soda & cake - and opened presents down there too!!  I have to admit - as far as a party goes - this was very cool.  And I LOVED IT because I just had to get the boys ready and loaded and waved goodbye to them as they drove down the road!  Mark had a great time, too!  Definately the easiest party FOR ME that we have ever done!!

Cute Purse Idea!! :)

This is a super cute purse a girl at church has - I want to try to recreate this!!  Coming from a girl who is definately a beginning sewer (is that even the right word???  I mean so-er NOT SU-WER!! :) ) this is a big project.  Sarah & I just completed quilts that we made out of Grandpa's shirts - and we have a couple pairs of his jeans left for this project!!!  Update coming soon.....

Everything is BIGGER in Texas!!!

OK - I came out to San Antonio, Texas to visit my Sister-in-Law, Shawna, for a few days to help her pass the time while she was going through the long, drawn out process of In-Vitro Fertilization! I really didn't know what to expect - I just wanted to be there with her and do what I could to help. BIG SHOTS!! I got initiated right away when I realized I was going to be spending the week with a druggie!!! Talk about tracks!! :) Ouch - I got to watch Shawna give herself shot after shot in her stomach - and it about made me pass out. Look at her crazed look on her face - she was really enjoying herself!
BIG MALL!! We spent the first day shopping in San Antonio Rivercenter Mall - we found the best deals and had a blast at Macy's. BIG RIVER!! Then she took me down to the River Walk - this is our American version of Venice - Texas style! Shops and restaurants line the river for miles - it was a super fun place and very quaint! We were hungry and cold - she didn't let me eat all day!!! Oh - she also made me run over 2 miles in the morning (BIG TRACK!!) - which is shocking I know!

Here we are on our "cruise" - we laughed so much because we think the guy thought we were "partners". We took a tour of the River Walk - it was really fun. We cuddled with each other and our "stranger" neighbors to keep warm! Texas was having a cold spell. I always thought it was hot and humid here - I was wrong!

BIG OVARIES!!  The next day we spent a lot of time at the hospital! I got to see all her "follicles" - they are things that grow in the ovaries and the eggs develope inside of them - Shawna had around 30 - she looked like she was getting ripe and ready for the egg extraction. It was sooo cool to see how this process works - totally amazing to me. After spending most of the day at the hospital we went shopping again! Surprise! We met Shawna's friend Shirley up at the San Marcos outlet center. (BIGGEST OUTLET CENTERS) We got to go out to dinner with Shirley's family - it was fun to get to know some of their friends and get a little piece of their lives in Texas!  We are really having a fun time!!!  I am lucky to have such a great sister in law and that we can have fun just hanging out together.
